How can we create a fair and equitable society?

Side by Side Conference – Tuesday, 12 November 2019

We live in a world where isolation and loneliness have become the new epidemic of the developed world, where poverty grows in line with prosperity, where the good of the community and the good of the individual have become mutually exclusive. Side by Side is a movement that champions a community of no ‘us and them,’ bringing together a meeting of minds to address social inequality.

Side By Side Conference will encourage people from a cross-section of the community to discuss and debate some of the key issues facing our society today. The event directly links the broader community to the Wayside Chapel’s vision of ‘Love over Hate’.

Be part of the conversation about social inequality and join us for a very special evening with Side by Side Conversations. These are evenings that are in an intimate, relaxed setting where you will hear from a diverse range of speakers who will challenge and inspire you. The evening begins with drinks and canapes prepared by our Heart Cafe on our rooftop terrace, where you can mingle with other like-minded individuals.

Our inaugural event includes talks from international speaker and social entrepreneur Magatte Wade, journalist and TV presenter Emma Alberici and Wayside Chapel’s CEO & Pastor Jon Owen.
