**Due to safety concerns, Wayside Chapel Op Shops are closed to the public during the COVID-19 pandemic, however still accepting donations of good quality, clean clothing, towels and blankets in clothing bins. Staff will focus on preparing emergency clothing for distribution. For the full statement of Wayside Chapel’s response to COVID-19, click here. 

You can still donate these items to our donation bin/chute outside each of our op shops. Please find address’ below:

When making a donation please note that we will only accept:

• Good quality, clean items to Wayside as you would give to a friend or wear yourself
• Items delivered in the donations bin/chute only, – anything left on the ground outside becomes contaminated and unusable and will not be accepted
• Items in good condition. We will not accept broken, soiled or stained donations.

Wayside Chapel Op Shops will accept:

• Clean clothing and shoes
• Towels
• Blankets
• Jewellery/handbags
• Good condition books (no self-help or textbooks)

Our op shops can now accept the following items. However, please only put these in our donation bins/chute if the Community Service Centres are closed, opening hours are below. 

• New Men’s underwear – Medium and Large sizes preferred
• New Women’s underwear – Size 10- 12 preferred
• Bras – can be new or used but clean
• Men’s and women’s socks of all sizes – these can be new or used but clean
• Sample size toiletries
  • shampoo
  • conditioner
  • soap
  • shower gel
  • deodorant (spray preferred)
  • razors

Please note, we prefer to have these items donated directly to the front desk of the Community Service Centres during opening hours at the following locations:

• Wayside Chapel Kings Cross – 29 Hughes St Potts Point, open 9:30am – 1pm
• Wayside Chapel Bondi Beach – 77 Roscoe St Bondi Beach, open 9am – 1pm

Wayside Chapel Op Shops can’t accept

• Electrical items
• Kids’ clothing or toys
• Furniture

Wayside is now managing two Op Shops in the eastern suburbs – bringing you an even larger range of curated eclectic fashion and bargain buys.

Packed to the rafters with clothes, jewellery and kitsch delights, our Op Shops are a favourite of fashionistas looking for quirky one-offs and affordable designs. Dinnigan, Gucci and Ksubi – donated by some of Wayside’s very well dressed supporters – nestle amongst humble brand names, homewares and handmade items.

Shoppers have the added benefit of knowing that every dollar spent goes straight back into Wayside’s programs and services to help the more marginalised members of our community.
