For many of us, Christmas will look a bit different this year. Our Christmas Day Lunch and Street party in Kings Cross will not happen due to COVID-19 restrictions.
But we still plan to spread the Christmas cheer so no one is left behind!
Over the seven days leading up to Christmas, we will be hosting free community lunches at Wayside Chapel Kings Cross and serving nutritious, freshly cooked meals with all the trimmings.
The community lunches will be held in Kings Cross from Friday, 18 December – Thursday, 24 December. There will be one lunch sitting per day for people in our community experiencing isolation and homelessness.
Capacity of this event is strictly limited to 54 x people only and will be COVID safe.
In addition to our community lunches, we will also provide free takeaway meals for people in need on Christmas Day so that no one is forgotten.
A Christmas church service will be live streamed online on Christmas Day.
